So as many of you know, last week was "Celebrity Doppleganger" week in the land of Facebook, and at first I was at a loss as to who I should choose - my dear, blind, loving husband has said he thinks I look a little like Cameron Diaz, and I've heard a few times recently that I look a little like Elizabeth Mitchell who plays Juliette on LOST, but it wasn't until I randomly came across the above picture that I realized which celebrity I most closely resembled...MISS PIGGY!
While there are many things about the sassy sow that I could do without in my own life (the insanely grating, high pitched voice and the penchant for skinny green guys) I have to say I admire Miss Piggys sense of style! The pig is glamorous!! She always does an amazing job of being true to herself and her own fashion rules (just try to find her without some serious jewelry, the heavy makeup, and some elbow length gloves!) she does a great job of also encorporating current fashion trends. She had the Farah flip back in the day, a shorter chunky cut a-la Jennifer Aniston in the 90's, and these days she's sporting the sleek blown-out tresses that require a Chi flatiron. AND - she has AMAZING shoes! Granted, I don't know how comfortable those hooves are after being pinched into stilettos all day, but she rocks it! And as strange as it sounds, I'm a little inspired by this Henson creation...could that be called Henspiration!? Ahaha!!
So while I'm going to keep the karate chopping at a minimum and will refrain from referring to myself as "Moi," I think I'm going to try to glam it up just a little bit in my life. Maybe rock the tennis shoes a little less and wear a few more pieces of jewelry. And always, always try to have fabulous hair.

ReplyDeletehey amber, love the black eye quote too, i saw it years ago and cut it out of the magazine and laminated it. by the way, i can picture the cameron diaz thing. i have gotten katherine heigl, but only on the computer generated stuff. seriously though, who doesn't love miss piggy. one thing i love about it too, she loves herself no matter that she is a....well..pig! gotta love it. she rocks.
