Dragging...not Springing...Forward

Lately, it's been busy times. Weekend before last we went to hike at Devil's Den State Park here in NW AR and it was good times for sure. We got dirty and sweaty and worked our tails off hiking and climbing in and out of caves and it was great. We are so lucky to live so close to such a cool place.

Last weekend we went to visit the fam in Arkadelphia, and to let Rika visit people. On Saturday there was a big get-together out at the lake and almost everyone she knew was there, so that was fun, too. We also got to go to the baby shower of a friend/family member which was fun - and it made me realize that I hardly ever go do anything without Justen or Rika these days and that I like doing that kind of thing every once in a while! I need to plan a girly party of some sort just to make that situation happen again! Ha!

That weekend we had "Spring Forward" but I think we were just dragged forward...no one was springing around my house. I need to feel some springtime weather, folks! C'mon clouds and rain...get outta' my way!

This week has been crazy at work - a lot of the surrounding states are having their spring breaks this week, so we've been swamped with prospective students wanting campus tours and appointments with admissions counselors and academic departments. I'm looking forward to this weekend - we will go to a Razorback gymnastics meet Friday night, then Saturday we'll take Rika down to Arkadelphia for her to stay there on her spring break, which by the way, she's so excited about. She has been asking to stay there for Spring Break for a month now and I'm so glad it's going to work out for her.

While she's having her spring break, it looks like Justen and I will be having one of our own. I have to be in Memphis, TN next Wednesday for a NACAC (national) college fair, so I had planned to do spring recruitment visits there all week long before I realized it was Arkansas' spring break. Now that she's going to be taken care of, it's looking like Justen will be able to come with me to Memphis for the week, which I'm excited about. It will be so nice to have some company on a trip! We are thinking we may be able to stop by on our way back and stay a day or two with Michael and Desiree and give them some roofing help. I'm so excited for spring!
